TECHNIQUE, MEMORY AND TERRITORY: A JOURNEY THROUGH THE HISTORY OF JOYAS DE LA RASPA

From the initial drawing to the final polishing, each piece sculpted in the workshop of Joyas de la Raspa carries printed the rhythm of the sea and the pulse of who creates it. Virginia R. Lorenzo, co-founder with Miguel Sánchez-Cantón of the emblematic Viguese brand, explores in her work the connection between contemporary goldsmithery, the marine environment and the persistence of memory. In his next talk, he will share the intra-history of the Raspa and the creative process with which it shapes its jewels, inspired by the Atlantic fauna and flora and elaborated with traditional techniques. An inescapable appointment to understand the magic that lies behind almost four decades of constant experimentation, perseverance and effort.
